Temple of Dreams – Reminiscing on a night of magic…

By Andie

It has been about a month and a half since our debut show Temple of Dreams, hosted March 31st 2017 at Burlington VT’s ArtsRiot.

Sometimes words don’t do justice to describe a feeling. In fact, I think that is what is so intriguing about music, dance, and art – they convey emotions, experiences, and feelings that are hard to put to words. While I don’t have a song and dance to express what I am feeling now, I will try my best.

Thank you. From the bottom of my heart – thank you to every single person who made Temple of Dreams at ArtsRiot: A night of dance, music, and art such a success. Thank you to DJ Rob Ticho, Zoo Logic, and The Edd with Joe Agnello for bringing their musical talents and supportive loving energy to the show. A special thanks to The Edd and Joe for learning not one, not two, but three special collaboration covers for the evening. Thank you to Joshua Miner and Riptide Photography HC for capturing the evening in beautiful photos and video (that we can’t wait to share with you), and to KTR Lighting for lighting up the night! To Nicole Stevenson – the other half of Dream City Dance for partnering with me to put on the event and for keeping me focused and sane. Will Stamp and ArtsRiot for their collaboration on the show. To each and everyone of the Dream City Dancers who pulled out all the stops to bring my artistic visions to reality. To the local business who donated to our raffle (Petra Cliffs Climbing Center & Mountaineering School, Mr. Delivery Burlington, Ben & Jerry’s, and many more) . And last but certainly not least to every friend, family member, colleague, loved one, and member of the community who came out to support us and celebrate with us! Without you – none of this is possible.

I am so proud as an artist, a leader, and just as the little girl in me who always dreams big but doesn’t always know where it will take her.

I have been speechless since the event night and am honestly still in awe of what dedication, hard work, art, and love just created right before my eyes. Thank you all – I feel so loved, supported, and ready to take on whatever is next.
